Happy summer

Sun Jul 20, 2008, 1:48 AM
It seems time to update my journal. Easter is long past. How is your summer? Our's is busy. Im feeling inspired, but haven't managed to put pencil to paper yet. I am thinking about making a book. I have the front cover figured out in my head.

The children and I were talking about thought and what it is exactly. Is an emotion or a thought just an electric current passing through your brain? Would it be possible to tranfer whatever that thought/feeling/emotion onto a piece of paper to make a book? Does it need words? I'd like to find out.

Enjoy your summer.

Hello

Sat Jan 19, 2008, 8:06 AM
belated new year's wishes

Hello! Things are crazy around here. I keep waiting to have the time to respond to all your work and comments. I want to respond thoughtfully, but it just isn't happening. Sorry.

When we got back from our holiday in the southern part of the country, my subscription had run out. What a disaster. For those of you who have never been subscribers, there is no comparison. It is wonderful! Our vacation was something else again. One of my children had an accident. He ran into a fence at full speed and ended up with a tear in his liver. He spent three days in intensive care and an additional two days on the ward. We picked him up just in time to come home. He is 18, but he is still my baby, or one of them. (All three of my babies are taller than I am)

Please know that I look at everybodies work and think of a million things to say, but never find the time to say it. I will try and do better.

As far as painting goes...no time for that either. We are doing some dada type things in class. I'll try and post some of them.

Our teacher showed us a mirror and said 'this is reality'. He then dropped it and said we were supposed to paint or draw the reality shown in the pieces of mirror. It was a challenge. I painted bits of ceiling.

Enough. I am off to cook dinner. Take care friends.
